Queensland has so far been the main playground for trainer Desleigh Forster but that could soon change if stable star Adebisi lives up to expectations in Melbourne on Saturday.
Adebisi left Brisbane by plane on Wednesday for the Rubiton Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield.
The five-year-old, who has drawn barrier three, will be ridden by champion jockey Craig Williams in the Group Three feature. Adebisi is on the G1 Oakleigh Plate trail and has pleased Forster since the son of Shovhog won the Listed Razor Sharp Stakes (1100m) at Warwick Farm in December.
"We has a few options with him after he won the Razor Sharp but we' decided to take him to Melbourne," Forster said.
"I'm very happy with him and he's doing plenty of work the Melbourne way.
"Michael Cahill has been riding him trackwork and he says he feels great and handled going the other direction well.
"Adebisi is only having two runs in Melbourne and will then come home.
"Hopefully he can prove to be a carnival horse and we can take him around all the big carnivals in the future.
"I haven't had a good look at the field for the Rubiton but the way he's going he'll be very competitive."
Meanwhile Forster is aiming another of her stable stars, I'm Cool, for the Listed Falvelon Quality (1200m) at Eagle Farm on February 23.
Forster tested I'm Cool in Sydney company on February 2 but the four-year-old faded to finish third to Whitlam over 1100 metres at Rosehill.
"He raced quite well and I wasn't disappointed with his effort," Forster said.
"He wasn't really comfortable on the heavy track and he was left a sitting duck in front."
I'm Cool is a four times winner from seven starts and missed a place for the first time in his career when fourth in a Class Six Plate at the Gold Coast on Magic Millions day.
