Desleigh Forster isn't ruling out a Sydney campaign for former New Zealander Poste Restante despite the mare's defeat at Doomben on Saturday.
Poste Restante produced a powerful final 400m finish to win first-up from a spell at Doomben on October 13 when the running rail was in the true position.
However, Forster always had concerns about Poste Restante's chances in a 1350-metrte Class Six Plate when the rails was moved out to eight metres on Saturday.
On the tight turning Doomben track, Poste Restante got back to last when the barriers opened and took a long time to wind up before finishing a close fourth to Beseech.
"When the rail is out that far it's always hard for backmarkers to make up ground," Forster said.
Forster had hoped to send Poste Restante to Sydney for a short campaign had the mare maintained her unbeaten record for the stable.
However, Forster will now aim the four-year-old for the Listed Brisbane Handicap (1600m) at Eagle Farm on November 17.
The Listed Recognition Stakes (1600m) at Eagle Farm on December 1 also looms as an option.
"I'll see how she goes in the Brisbane Handicap first and then we'll decide where to go with her," Forster said.
"If I decide to take Adebisi to Sydney for some races she might still travel down there with him."
Poste Restante remained under Forster's care after the Kiwi mare campaigned during the Brisbane winter carnival under the guidance of her previous trainer Howard Matthews.
Poste Restante stamped her class in her homeland finishing a close fourth to Miss Artistic in the G1 New Zealand Oaks (2400m) at Trentham before being runner-up in the G3 Manawatu Classic (2000m)  at Awapuni in March.
In her Queensland debut, Poste Restante finished strongly for third to the Peter Moody-trained Brambles in the G3 Rough Habit Plate (2000m) at Doomben in May.
The daughter of Postponed subsequently finished eighth to Quintessential in the G1 Queensland Oaks and 12th to Brambles in the G1 Queensland Derby at Eagle Farm in June before Matthews returned home without her.
